Sleep Improvement Groups | In-Person Workshops
What to Expect: Our Sleep Workshop will include one intake visit (one-on-one) and six 90-minute group sessions (6-8 patients per group). This workshop includes “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia” (CBT-I) as well as other Behavioral Sleep Medicine strategies for improving both quantity and quality of sleep. The workshop is ideal for adults or adolescents with insomnia or other sleep complaints. Although treatment is provided in a group setting, it is not a “one-size fits all” approach. Our behavioral sleep experts will work closely with you to provide an individualized set of recommendations that are tailored to fit your sleep goals.
Your sleep expert will spend the first visit (the one-on-one intake visit) learning about your specific sleep problems and will help you set goals for treatment. You will be asked to monitor your sleep using a simple sleep log completed each morning. The information you provide in the sleep log will help customize and guide your treatment plan. During the 6 group-treatment sessions you will learn about sleep – how it works and what goes wrong! You will learn specific techniques and strategies that have been shown to work for thousands of patients suffering from poor sleep.
What is Insomnia: Insomnia is generally characterized as having a hard time falling asleep, inability to stay asleep and/or waking up too early. It is often accompanied by feeling tired or sleepy during the day, having a difficult time concentrating or remembering, feeling “low energy,” being more easily irritated or emotional and/or having trouble with relationships and school or work performance.
Fees: The sleep workshop should be covered under most health insurance plans. Your out-of-pocket costs are determined by your unique insurance plan. Please email our office to get an estimate of out-of-pocket cost or to hold your spot in our upcoming workshop – info@sleepwise.io.
